ScanSnap iX1400 v ScanSnap iX1600
The iX1600 is a WiFi document scanner so it is able to function via WiFi and USB.
The iX1400 is powered through a USB cable only, it does not have the WiFi capability.
The ScanSnap X1600 desktop scanner features a user interface touchscreen which powers up when unfolded. The interface allows different users to switch between their favoured scan jobs and control scan destinations, from the hardware itself. The iX1400 does not come with a touchscreen user-interface and is therefore controlled via a PC.
