Product Spotlight: Epson Workforce DS-30000 & DS-32000

The Epson Workforce range of document scanners have been some of the best-selling units in the market. Packaged with Epson’s comprehensive capture software suite, Document Capture Pro, users have been enjoying advanced scanning features with ease of use for a number of years.
Epson provide a great range of scanning solutions for users who require A4 sheet-fed scanning or A3 flatbed scanning. However, up until now, there has been no A3 sheet-fed solution.

New A3 Hardware - Epson Workforce Extends its Range

With the introduction of the Epson Workforce DS-30000 and DS-32000, the company have created two excellent machines to fill that void. The two units are designed with productivity in mind. The DS-30000 offers scan speeds of 70ppm (pages per minute) and a duty cycle of 30,000 pages per day whilst the DS-32000 offers higher speeds of 90ppm and 40,000 pages per day. Additionally, both units feature four, dual, 3-line CIS sensors on each scanning side. This is above and beyond the competition and gives much better scanning results. For example, scanning crumpled documents with a single light source results in shading on the final scan, whereas the Epson Workforce DS-30000 & DS-32000’s dual light-source massively reduces this shading on the crumpled scan.

The sleek design of the latter unit allows it to fold away, allowing for a more compact mode when in storage. Alternatively, the DS-32000 can elongate, stretching the feeder surface area and thus allowing for longer documents, such as medical records, to be scanned with ease. These features have led the Epson Workforce DS-32000 to win the coveted “Print IT Reseller Editor’s Choice Award” for 2020.

Furthermore, Epson pride themselves on creating eco-friendly document scanners. Both units will run on significantly less power than the common scanner, which will save energy and money spent on business utility bills.

Intuitive Software - Epson Scan & Document Capture Pro

Both models feature a 2.7” colour screen display, from which users can control the unit. The display will even offer user support tips if anything goes wrong during scanning. A handy and unique feature, for those with little scanning experience. Furthermore, both units are supplied with Epson’s comprehensive scanning software suite, Document Capture Pro. This all in one software suite allows for a range of simple and more complex scanning tasks. From basic features like crop, orientation, and blank page skip to more sophisticated ones such as searchable text and batch scan edits. There is a wealth of capabilities at your fingertips.
