Fujitsu Launch TWO New ScanSnap Document Scanners
Fujitsu ScanSnap have launched two new A4 document scanners, perfect for home desktop or small office environments. The Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1400 and Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1600 add variation to an already hugely successful range of personal document scanners.
ScanSnap Scanner Hardware
To compliment the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1500, the iX1400 and iX1600 offer functionality to suit their users needs.
Firstly, the ScanSnap iX1400 is a simple, USB-connected document scanner with no LCD screen interface. Simply press the large blue Scan button on the front of the machine and scan up to 50 documents in one go, at improved speeds of 40ppm* (pages per minute). User settings are arranged manually via the connected computer.
Meanwhile, the ScanSnap iX1600 retains the large touchscreen user-interface included in the iX1500, whilst also offering improved scan speeds of 40ppm. This scanner is a wireless one and can connect to computer without the need for USB connection, saving your desktop valuable space and offering a perfect solution for work-from-home laptop users with limited USB input drives. Like the ScanSnap iX1500, the iX1600 can send information directly to mobile device or tablet using the ScanSnap App which can be downloaded on either Apple or Android devices.
As expected, all three scanners offer duplex (double-sided) scanning and full colour output. All three are perfect for the scanning of business documents, photographs and receipts and even come supplied with a small document holder so that you can perform batch scans quickly and without feeder jams.
ScanSnap Home Scanner Capture Software
Both products utilise Fujitsu ScanSnap’s latest capture software suite, ScanSnap Home, previously only available for the iX1500. This gives customers who wish to use ScanSnap Home a new selection of three exciting products to choose from.
ScanSnap Home is available for up to four users per scanner, so that each user can select their preferred scan jobs and save to their profile. This ensures that scanned jobs are improved on over time, using artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning, and users never have to worry about their settings being altered by another person. These pre-set jobs can be accessed and controlled on the scanner’s user interface themselves, in the case of the iX1500 or iX1600, or within the software display on desktop for the iX1400.
Save documents in a range of file types, such as PDF, searchable PDF (utilising the included ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap) and JPEG etc.
